Catering for everyone from reception to year 11, the Centres' tutoring programs offer advanced learning strategies and specialist learning skills for those needing a little extra help and motivation to succeed. Learning is always at the students' own pace and fun is an essential part of our formula.

Students attend for lessons lasting for either an hour or 80 minutes. Lessons are structured around the results from the assessment. Students are given an individual learning plan in English and Maths with between 4 and 6 planned activities per session.

OUR TEACHERS
Iain Mckenzie, a fully qualified teacher, is the centre director of Clacton and Colchester. he completed his training at the University of Wales gaining a degree in Business studies followed by a PGCE in Secondary Education.

Lorraine Mckenzie, a fully qualified teacher,  is the centre director of Mason Road Clacton and Colchester. she completed her training at Caerioen University of Wales. 
Both have been Heads of Subjects and have a wealth of classroom experience.

Welcome to Ace Tuition Clacton & Colchester and surrounding areas

We offer tuition in English Maths and Science to students from 5yrs to 16 years. Tuition in most other subjects can also be arranged. Ace Tuition has been operating for over 10 years and offers a friendly caring and professional approach to support students through their learning journey.

We offer support for Maths ,English ,Reading,Spelling, Sats, 11+ and GCSE exams. We are an exam centre for Edexcel and run support programmes for Exam Candidates. Tuition at Home can be arranged “my own tutor”.

Every child has an assessment and their own individual learning programme. The assessment helps  identify weaknesses in Maths and English and ensures the student is placed at the appropriate work level to improve their learning skills

Lessons vary from 60 minutes to 80 minutes.

ROFESSIONAL TUITION
What does this mean

Professional tuition is educational support offered by qualified C.R.B checked tutors. Children can receive tuition from the age of 5 upwards with their school work in the key subjects of English Maths Science and ICT.

We the centres focus on reading, spelling, writing, grammar, and punctuation. Ace Tuition offers individualised programmes of study that help children who need extra support with their schoolwork as well as challenging those who are already excelling.

The tuition centres offers sessions which last 60 or 80 minutes. Lessons begin at 4pm and carry on to 8pm.Daytime sessions are also available for home schooled students and adults.

MY OWN TUTOR
Ace Tuition Centre has partnered with “My Own Tutor” to offer a learning support service to complement the professional tuition.

The online activities support the National Curriculum and are designed to help and promote improvement in a student’s results, progress, motivation and confidence.

My Own Tutor Learning starts from as little as £5 per week

My Own Tutor's Home Service means that students have exercises to do at home throughout the week, with lessons available 24/7 with help from qualified teachers available Mondays to Saturdays

My Own Tutor's games-based exercises increase the amount of student practice and learning by over 25%

The exercises which the students do with “My Own Tutor “are monitored so that parents can see exactly how their children are progressing.

Weekly reports are received and can be discussed at Guidance Meetings. These results are also used to focus the student’s continued learning support at the Centre through their regular tuition sessions

ADULT TUITION AND EXAM CENTRE
Ace Tuition offers courses for adult learners in a caring friendly and welcoming environment.Fees are very affordable.

We pride ourselves on treating our adult students as individuals. We aim to help each student to reach their full potential and achieve the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in life or at work. At the Ace Tuition Centres we provide the perfect alternative to larger education colleges. We have been a first choice for many adults who want individual or small group tuition .

Functional skills
If you want to improve your reading, writing, literacy, numeracy, or information and communication technology skills, or want to improve the skills you already have, a Functional Skills qualification could be for you.

Functional Skills courses for adults are available in: 
Adult literacy (reading, writing, spelling and grammar) 
Adult numeracy (maths) 
Information and communications technology (computers) 
All available at different levels entry and levels 1. 2 and 3

Free Assessment

CARING, PRIVATE TUITION WITH GREAT RESULTS
After the initial call a free assessment is arranged for the student. The outcome is discussed and a teaching programme proposed.

Progress is monitored closely each week and a re-assessment carried out twice a year. Parents can clearly see the progress being made.

The Centre offers tuition primarily in English and Maths but sessions in Science, Languages, Technology Business and ICT can also be arranged.

Lessons are either 60 or 80 minutes in length which allows for a variety of teaching methods to be used including computer based work to motivate the student. Teaching takes place in within small groups (3-4 students)..

Every student has their own teaching programme and receives individual tuition.
